9to5Aviation is an independent newsroom covering the aviation industry: the airlines whose planes you fly on, the companies that build them, the airports and air-traffic systems that move them, the regulators that certify them, and the people who fly and maintain them.

We write for two readers at once. First, the traveller who wants to know what a news item means for their next booking. Second, the aviation professional and enthusiast who wants the technical detail behind it. Every story opens with a plain-language explanation and, where it helps, follows with analysis for people who work in the industry.

How we write

Facts come first. Every factual claim is checked against a primary source: an official announcement, a regulator's publication, an investigation report, a filing, or a named and credible person. Who we are

9to5Aviation was founded by Lov Singh, who serves as Editor-in-Chief. Every article names its author, and each author profile states only the experience we can verify. We are building a team with aviation backgrounds; until a specialist joins a story, we rely on primary sources and say so when a claim needs expert confirmation.
