Where AI helps
- Monitoring official sources (regulator notices, airline and manufacturer newsrooms, investigation pages) so we spot news quickly.
- Producing first drafts of routine news summaries and headlines, which an editor then checks.
- Creating explanatory diagrams, labelled as illustrations.
What AI never does
- AI never publishes on its own authority. Every story is reviewed by a named human editor, who is accountable for it.
- AI does not write safety analysis, accident causes or passenger-safety advice without review against the primary source and, where needed, a qualified expert.
- AI does not write reviews or claim first-hand experience of flights, lounges or airports.
- AI-generated images are never presented as photographs of an aircraft, airport or event.
Accuracy
AI-assisted drafts go through the same fact-checking as any other story. If an error gets through, we correct it under our Corrections Policy.
